Actress Lynne Marta has passed away

Lynne Marta, the famous actress who starred in series that were also popular in Turkey such as Charlie's Angels, Starsky & Hutch, and Law & Order, as well as the dance-revolution film Footloose, has been found dead in her home in Los Angeles.

It was learned that Marta, who passed away at the age of 78, had been diagnosed with cancer some time ago, though her cause of death was not specified.

The actress, who was also remembered for her role as Elma in the film Joe Kidd, in which she starred alongside Clint Eastwood, was announced to have died on January 11.

SHE WAS BOTH AN ACTRESS AND A SINGER

Marta, who was American, was also a singer.

She had her first screen experience in 1966 in the comedy series Gidget. She was a regular on The Lloyd Thaxton Show.

Other series she appeared in include Cannon, Medical Center, Days of Our Lives, The Streets of San Francisco, Barnaby Jones, and Trapper John.
