MADE A STATEMENT

Making a statement via Instagram, the actress thanked those who sent her messages of support and spoke as follows:

'I was raised by a midwife-nurse woman who stood on her own two feet and served for years in dozens of villages in every single region of my country. She taught me to defend my rights... I also know full well that bread is sooner or later earned by the one who deserves it. As a 34-year-old adult woman, I know that integrity is everything.'

Born in Istanbul in 1991, Başak Gümülcinelioğlu graduated from the Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Architecture and Design. After completing her master's degree at Istanbul Technical University, she began her acting career on the theater stage. She has appeared in plays such as 'Barut Fıçısı' and 'Hababam Sınıfı'.
