According to a report in the Sabah newspaper, the background of the case is based on a complaint and criminal report filed with the prosecutor's office by Abdurrahman Aydın, with whom Yılmaz was previously in a relationship. Following Aydın's application, allegations surfaced that Yılmaz had used forged documents to obtain a residence permit in Germany.

It was claimed that the scope of the investigation also extended to debts allegedly stemming from aesthetic and maintenance procedures. The report claims that Yılmaz did not make payments for various procedures, and that the total debt has reached approximately 285,000 Euros.
It was suggested that this amount corresponds to approximately 15 million Turkish Lira at the current exchange rate. According to the allegations, Abdurrahman Aydın acted as a guarantor for some of the debts, and Aydın paid a significant portion of these debts.
It was reported that the documents stated to be in the file have undergone sworn translation and apostille procedures at the Turkish Consulate in Hamburg. An apostille is known as an international verification process that allows an official document issued in one country to be used in another.
It was stated that the documents in question will be used in legal applications planned to be made in Turkey. Whether there is a potential arrest warrant for Yılmaz in Germany and how it could be implemented in other European Union countries will be evaluated according to international judicial cooperation procedures.
