Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, one of Hollywood's most famous couples, have officially decided to divorce following an eight-year legal battle.

49-year-old Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from 61-year-old Brad Pitt in 2016.
Jolie alleged that Pitt had been abusive toward her and their children, a claim Pitt has denied.
A legal battle over the custody of their children ensued between the Hollywood giants, and in 2021, a court granted them joint custody.
The eight-year dispute has now concluded with a divorce decision.
According to a report by BBC Turkish, Angelina Jolie's lawyer, James Simon, announced the decision as follows:
"Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt more than eight years ago. She and the children have left behind all properties they shared with Pitt and have focused on finding peace and tranquility for their family during this process."
"This is part of a long process that began eight years ago and is still ongoing. Frankly, Angelina is very tired, but she is relieved that this part is over."
There has been no statement yet from Pitt's lawyer.
