Artist Mehmet Güreli undergoes surgery
Artist Mehmet Güreli, who was found to have blockages in his four heart vessels and carotid arteries, underwent surgery in Istanbul. It was stated that Güreli's surgery was successful.

Musician, author, director, and painter Mehmet Güreli has undergone surgery due to blockages in his heart and carotid arteries.
In a statement released by Yeditepe Film and Karina Film, it was reported that Güreli was taken to Koç University Hospital following the screening of his film "Dört Köşeli Üçgen" (Four-Cornered Triangle) on February 9, 2024, and was discharged after his surgery.
The statement included the following remarks:
"Our director and a doyen of music, cinema, painting, and literature, Mehmet Güreli, was taken to Koç University Hospital on 09.02.2024 following the screening of the film “Dört Köşeli Üçgen” held at Beyoğlu Cinema in collaboration with the Film Directors Association and the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB).
After being kept under observation due to blockages in his four heart vessels and his carotid artery, he was discharged from the hospital following a successful surgery performed by the Head of the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, Atıf Akçevin, with Dr. Yılmaz Zorman accompanying the entire process from the first day.
