Artist Melek Mosso, who was the subject of public debate for months and had some of her concerts cancelled due to a speech she gave at an awards ceremony in recent months, has gotten engaged to actor Serkan Sağdıç.

Melek Mosso and Serkan Sağdıç got engaged last night in a simple ceremony held among family.
Mosso chose a long white dress for her engagement, while Sağdıç wore a black suit.

Serkan Sağdıç had appeared in the music video for Melek Mosso's song titled 'Kirpiklerin'.
The friendship between the pair, who played two lovers in the video, turned into a relationship shortly after.
WHY WAS MELEK MOSSO THE SUBJECT OF DEBATE?
Before the May 28, 2023 elections, Melek Mosso shared a post on her social media account with the note "election outfit," mocking an elderly woman with orange-tinted glasses who had said she would vote for President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during a street interview.
Shortly after this post, at the PowerTürk Music Awards ceremony held at the Atatürk Cultural Center on June 5, 2023, Melek Mosso, who received the "Strongest Cover Song Award" for the song "Yıllar Affetmez," became the target of criticism from certain circles by saying, "I accept this award as a gift to the souls of all women who have been marginalized for centuries in this society and in this world, judged, pushed aside, and murdered for their clothes, their laughter, and everything that being a woman entails."
Some of Melek Mosso's concerts were subsequently cancelled.
