Singer Atilla Taş, who was arrested for resisting police following a dispute with staff at an entertainment venue in Beşiktaş, Istanbul, has been released.

Taş, who was arrested on December 23, announced his release in a post on his X (Twitter) account.

Sharing a photo of himself, Taş said, "Man, what an ungrateful bunch you are. You could have at least sent some underwear or a vest, you disloyal rascals."

Taş added the following to his post:

"Don't worry, I will record a video and explain everything. It's like a movie; they locked me up again over an issue that doesn't even carry a prison sentence. Even if I stepped on a cat's tail, I would still end up in jail. They also leaked videos that were edited to cut out the beginning and the end. But will I stay silent? Of course not! I just don't understand why a plainclothes police officer was following me!"
