It had been revealed that social media influencer and beauty center owner Dilan Polat, who was arrested on charges of money laundering and tax evasion, had filed criminal complaints against many social media users for alleged defamation before she entered prison. A new development has occurred regarding this move by Polat. The prosecutor's office has issued a decision of non-prosecution regarding the relevant complaints.

SHE HAD FILED A COMPLAINT CLAIMING SHE WAS DEFAMED

Emrullah Erdinç, who has been following the Polat case from the very beginning and regularly reporting on new developments, stated that there were 300 files at the prosecutor's office and had remarked, "Dilan and Engin Polat could generate income from these cases. Since all their accounts have been seized, the Polat family could generate income from this."

Reminding that the minimum amount paid in settlements was 30,000 TL, Erdinç had said, "30,000 TL, I am speaking for the current file, would amount to 9 million TL from 300 files. Is it legal money? It is completely legal money!"

PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE HAS MADE ITS DECISION

According to a report by Show Haber, although Dilan Polat, who is in prison on charges including money laundering and membership in a criminal organization, expected otherwise, the prosecutor's office issued a decision of non-prosecution for those comments, stating that they 'do not constitute defamation'.
