Actress Bergüzar Korel was spotted by cameras at a Far Eastern restaurant in Nişantaşı the other day.
Answering questions from members of the press after eating sushi, the actress said that she had finished the series she was filming for a digital platform.
Stating that they settled in England for their son's education due to Ali's interest in music, Bergüzar Korel said, "We have a teenage son now; Ali is 14 years old. Most people know he has had a great interest in music since he was little, and he wanted to receive his education in this field. The schools he wanted and the education he wanted to pursue were there. We wanted to take advantage of this opportunity, and he got into a good school. We go back and forth. I miss my country, my roots, and my friends very much. I love my country very much," she said.
'THERE IS NOTHING FOR ME TO FLEE FROM'
The 41-year-old mother of three explained that the claims that they had settled abroad permanently and left the country did not reflect the truth:
"I had been here for six months. After spending a certain amount of time there, you naturally benefit from the conditions there, but our purpose for going was for our child's education. We are trying it out right now; we go back and forth very often. I filmed a series here for 11 weeks. Why would I flee? This is my country, there is nothing for me to flee from. I am right here, you see me, I haven't gone anywhere" (Milliyet)
