Birce Akalay cuts ties with close friends

Birce Akalay, who has recently been in the spotlight due to drug operations targeting famous figures, has taken a radical step on her social media accounts.

Akalay stopped following close friends İbrahim Çelikkol and his wife Natali Yarcan, as well as figures such as Aslı Enver, Nur Fettahoğlu, and Selahattin Paşalı.

Akalay, who was taken by the gendarmerie to provide blood, urine, and hair samples amid allegations of drug use, made statements following the reports that emerged during this process. Akalay stated that the investigation is under a confidentiality order and that no documents or information have been conveyed to her or her lawyer.

Expressing that some reports in the media were intended to provide misinformation, Akalay said, "I would like to emphasize that the substances listed are only related to the antidepressants and painkillers I use regularly, and that I have never used any illicit substances in my life." She also announced that they would appeal the Forensic Medicine report through her lawyer.
