According to a statement made by the Guardia Civil on Monday, 10 more people were detained on fraud charges as part of "Operation Bralina," which spanned 8 provinces.

One woman sent 195 thousand dollars to the fraudsters, while another woman sent 167 thousand dollars. Police managed to recover 95 thousand dollars during this process.

Authorities announced that both victims had contacted the fraudsters through a fan site belonging to Brad Pitt, and that these individuals had convinced them that the actor wanted to invest in various projects with them.

The statement noted, "The fraudsters examined social media accounts to identify their victims and gathered various information from their profiles. Both women were experiencing issues such as depression and loneliness before becoming targets of the scammers."

The victims believed they were messaging with Brad Pitt via WhatsApp, and the actor had approached them with promises of a romantic relationship and a future together.

The two women made numerous money transfers to the person they thought was Pitt until they realized they had been defrauded and contacted the police.

It was determined that the fraudsters had created a network of bank accounts using fake identities.
