Stating that "Gemlik, Bursa, and İznik are unfortunately on a fault line," Kara shared both her fear and her sadness on her social media account.
Years ago, Kara had restored this house in İznik, which she inherited from her grandfather, and made it livable again. The actress, who lived a life in touch with nature, had purchased a farm some time ago and started producing olive oil with her husband.
MEMORIES LEFT BEHIND
Sharing a final post from her home, the actress said, "We left the town where I grew up, the summer house where I grew up, with our belongings. We moved into this house in 1991, meaning it was built before the '99 earthquake. We can no longer feel peaceful here."
"I HOPE WE RETURN"
Stating that they will move into a newly built family apartment building with her mother and aunt, Kara continued her words as follows:
"Because we do not find this house structurally sound, we are unfortunately saying goodbye. I grew up in this sea. My family's house has the sea on one side and the lake on the other. I hope we return one day."
