Cansever, who reached a wide audience with the arabesque songs she performed in the 90s, lost her life at the age of 59 due to leukemia, which she had been battling for some time. The artist was known for songs such as “Ağla Gözbebeğim”, “Sen de Gittin”, and “Kime Bu İnat”.

Cansever, who was diagnosed with leukemia in December 2025, had gone to Germany for her treatment. After a suitable donor was found, the artist underwent a bone marrow transplant on March 26, 2026.

Following the transplant, Cansever, whose treatment and health check-ups continued, had occasionally shared updates regarding her health status on her social media account throughout the process.

HER FINAL MESSAGE REGARDING HER ILLNESS REVEALED

Following Cansever's death, the final post she made before passing away has come to the fore once again.

Describing the difficulties she experienced during the treatment process, the artist had stated that she had difficulty speaking and writing. Expressing that she was constantly receiving serum, antibiotic, and medication treatments, Cansever had asked for prayers from her loved ones despite the health problems she was facing.

Cansever had used the following expressions in her post:

“My dears, do not worry. In the name of God, this too shall pass. There are many who write and call; I cannot speak, I cannot write. I am constantly receiving serums, antibiotics, and medications, and I am constantly lying down. My blood pressure keeps dropping, my fever rises. Let's see how long this will last. Do not withhold your prayers until this stabilizes. I do not want anything else from you.”

SHE HAD SHARED HER EXPERIENCES DURING THE TREATMENT PROCESS

In the post in question, the artist had stated that her health condition had not yet stabilized. Reporting that her blood pressure dropped frequently and her fever rose, Cansever had expressed that she did not know how long her treatment would last.

Addressing those who were concerned about her and sent messages, Cansever had said that she could not speak or write due to her health problems, and had asked her loved ones to continue their prayers during this process.

SHE HAD UNDERGONE A BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT

Cansever was diagnosed with leukemia in late 2025. The artist, who shared her illness with the public in December, began chemotherapy treatment in Germany.

During her treatment, a suitable bone marrow/stem cell donor was found for Cansever. Following this, a bone marrow transplant was performed on March 26, 2026. The artist's treatment continued while she was kept under observation in the hospital after the transplant.

Cansever had occasionally informed her loved ones that there were positive developments in her health status after the transplant. However, the artist, whose treatment was ongoing, passed away at the age of 59.
