US actress Gina Carano has filed a lawsuit against production companies Disney and Lucasfilm in response to her removal from the series due to her social media posts.

Carano, who was removed from the cast of "The Mandalorian" in 2021 after it was alleged that her social media posts contained "antisemitic" views, made a statement on the X social media platform.

Carano announced that she had filed a lawsuit against Disney and Lucasfilm, stating, "Today is an important day for me."

'I AM GRATEFUL'

The actress, who argued that the expressions she used were distorted to "demonize" her, noted that she wants to continue her work where she left off.

Stating that X owner Elon Musk is providing her with legal assistance, Carano used the expression, "I am grateful to Elon Musk and X for giving me the opportunity to bring my case to light, and I would like to express my thanks."
