In Nevşehir, 2 suspects who said they came from Aydın were caught while trying to sell 5 thousand 370 liters of fake olive oil to a grocery store operated by Zeynep Gökşen in the city center.
When the female store owner became suspicious of the olive oil left as a sample, she requested support from the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry teams to have it tested.
Learning that the olive oil was fake following the examination by the teams, Gökşen reported the situation to the police.
H.K., who introduced himself as the company's marketing staff when he arrived at the workplace, was caught by police teams.
The 5 thousand 370 liters of fake olive oil and 498 fake labels seized during the search of the suspect's vehicle were handed over to the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry teams.
The suspect, who was referred to the courthouse after his procedures at the police station, was arrested by the judgeship he was brought before.
It was learned that the trial against H.K., who was previously determined to have been caught while trying to commit fraud using the same method, is ongoing.
