Actor Cevdet Arıkan, known for projects such as 'Koltuk Belası', 'Yedi Bela Hüsnü', 'Banker Bilo', 'Neşeli Günler' and 'Sosyete Şaban', has passed away at the age of 75.
The sad news was announced by the actor's son, Cem Arıkan.

Cem Arıkan stated, "He was my father, my friend, my colleague, and one of the last bastions of Turkish cinema. I wanted to share the sad news because I felt a responsibility to do so. Unfortunately, my father Cevdet Arıkan has left us. May our cinema community receive our condolences."

WHO IS CEVDET ARIKAN?
Cevdet Arıkan was born in Istanbul in 1948. He graduated from the Theater Department of the Istanbul Municipal Conservatory.
He stepped into Yeşilçam in the 1970s. During his 50-year acting career, he appeared in over 120 films.
He rose to fame with the character of Suphi from the Seferoğulları family, which he portrayed in the film 'Tosun Paşa'.
Arıkan also appeared in unforgettable Yeşilçam films such as Şaban Oğlu Şaban, Çöpçüler Kralı, Hababam Sınıfı, Süt Kardeşler, Tosun Paşa, Çöpçüler Kralı, Şabaniye, Şekerpare, and Züğürt Ağa.
