According to BBC Turkish, a statement issued today by the Southwark Coroner's Court emphasized that "O'Connor died of natural causes" and that "the coroner has ceased their involvement in her death."

One day after the announcement of O'Connor's death on July 26, 2023, police had stated that there were no suspicious circumstances.

Known for her activism as well as her singing, O'Connor was best known for her 1990 hit "Nothing Compares 2 U," which reached number one on global charts and brought her international fame.
