Cem Yılmaz suffers heart attack

Comedian Cem Yılmaz was taken under treatment at a hospital after falling ill at his home in the Ayvacık district of Çanakkale.

Yılmaz, who fell ill at his home in Paşaköy, Ayvacık, called the 112 Emergency Call Center.

Following the call, medical teams transported Yılmaz, who was complaining of chest pain, to Ayvacık State Hospital by ambulance.

It was learned that Yılmaz was then transferred to the Coronary Intensive Care Unit at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Hospital, where he underwent an angiography procedure performed by Prof. Dr. Ercan Akşit.

Health Minister Memişoğlu provided information that Cem Yılmaz's general condition is good.

Minister Memişoğlu stated, "All necessary interventions were performed successfully."

A statement came from Prof. Dr. Akşit, the doctor of Cem Yılmaz, who fell ill in Çanakkale and was taken for an angiography procedure at the hospital where he was admitted. Akşit reported that the surgery was successful and that Yılmaz is resting with his consciousness clear.
