As prices at fish markets in Trabzon rise, fish such as whiting and horse mackerel are finding buyers at 100 lira per kilogram.

In Trabzon, whiting and horse mackerel are being sold at fish markets for 100 lira per kilogram. In the Moloz area of the Ortahisar district, a variety of fish including anchovy, bonito, trout, red mullet, salmon, sea bass, and sea bream have been available at stalls in recent days.
Fisherman Aziz Özsandıkçı stated that there is a wide variety of fish, noting that sea bass is offered for 300 lira, while whiting and horse mackerel are sold at prices ranging between 100 and 150 lira. Expressing satisfaction with the public's interest in fish, Özsandıkçı said that one kilogram of horse mackerel could be sufficient and affordable for families.
