Court had ruled for 6 million TL: New development in the Metin Akpınar-Duygu Nebioğlu case
Duygu Nebioğlu announced that the 6 million lira non-pecuniary damages case filed against Metin Akpınar has been taken to a higher court. Nebioğlu stated that the legal process is still ongoing.

A new development has occurred in the compensation case filed by Duygu Nebioğlu, one of the twins born from an extramarital relationship between veteran actor Metin Akpınar and Suphiye Orancı. The court had previously ruled that Akpınar must pay 6 million TL in non-pecuniary damages to Nebioğlu.
In a written statement regarding the legal process, Duygu Nebioğlu highlighted an important development. Nebioğlu announced that the decision was appealed by Metin Akpınar and the file was sent to the higher court (appellate court).
She included the following views in her statement:
-“Following the conclusion of the non-pecuniary damages lawsuit I filed against my biological father Metin Akpınar, the 6,000,000 TL compensation awarded by the court has been appealed by my biological father, and the file has been moved to the higher court.
-Regarding this decision, no payment has been made to me, and a stay of execution decision was obtained by my biological father, with the amount that should have been paid deposited as collateral at the enforcement office.
-Although the painful process I have lived through for 38 years has been registered by the Turkish judiciary, efforts are still being made to prolong the process and keep it in limbo.
-However, it is clear that I have always emerged victorious in the rightful struggle I have shown against such situations until now, and our struggle will continue in the ongoing process together with my attorneys, Atty. Ahmet Furkan Uludağ and Atty. Ferihan Polat.”
