Famous actress Hazal Kaya filed a criminal complaint in 2017 against Iranian national Eissa Yazdan Karami for harassing her on social media. The petition stated that Karami had sent gifts to Kaya, referring to her as his "wife," and made threats such as "Either you are mine, or death."

As part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was determined that Karami had sent disturbing messages to Kaya's X account and had sent gifts to her workplace in 2015 with notes reading, "My love, my spouse, my wife."

The indictment also noted that Karami had made posts on his Facebook account saying, "Either my Hazal, or death," and had placed an order for a weapon. The prosecution requested a prison sentence of up to 5 years for Karami, but the defendant did not attend the hearings.

CASE DISMISSED

The case continued for 8 years, but because Karami could not be located, the court decided to dismiss the case due to the statute of limitations.
