CZN Burak, the restaurateur known as Burak Özdemir, is having his voice and image used in advertisements created with artificial intelligence.
According to a report in Hürriyet, Özdemir stated that he has taken the matter to court but has not achieved any results:
“We have applied to the court many times, but we cannot get results. They constantly change their IP addresses. The other day, someone said, ‘I saw your ad and I gambled.’ They are victimizing me so much... They use my videos and my photos. An organization of gambling and betting sites has caught me in their web, and I cannot do anything. I don’t know who they are. They have become a nuisance to me and they won’t stop. In my life, let alone gambling, I don’t even know how to play okey. They have formed an organization and are hunting internet users by using artificial intelligence.”
