Decision on Şahan Gökbakar's villa in Marmaris: Famous comedian files an objection

It has been alleged that the Muğla Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization determined during its inspections that the villa purchased by comedian and actor Şahan Gökbakar in Marmaris in 2018 was illegal.

According to the report by Vural Efecik from Yeni Asır; it was determined that the region is not a residential area open to zoning and that additional buildings were constructed in violation of the zoning amnesty.

While a demolition order was issued for the illegal villa in the region, which has the status of "Natural Character to be Protected Area," a letter was sent to the Marmaris Municipality for the implementation of this decision.

OBJECTION FROM GÖKBAKAR

Gökbakar filed an objection to the decision and initiated a legal process.

The Marmaris Municipality, on the other hand, has not carried out the demolition procedures due to the ongoing lawsuit.

Gökbakar's land is located within the boundaries defined as a 'Natural Character to be Protected Area' belonging to the Datça-Bozburun Special Environmental Protection Zone, which was approved by the General Directorate for the Protection of Natural Assets with the approval dated September 29, 2014, and numbered 9644.

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?

Gökbakar had an unauthorized pier built on the beach in front of the duplex villa he bought for 10 million liras in the neighborhood, which is 67 kilometers away from Marmaris, and hung a 'Private Property, No Trespassing' sign; he had sea sand poured onto the beach and placed a mooring buoy in the sea using a zodiac boat.

The moments when Gökbakar hung the sign were filmed from boats in the bay and shared on social media, and also appeared in the press as news. Following the posts and news reports, the Muğla Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization launched an investigation into the area.

The comedian and actor Şahan Gökbakar had reacted on social media to the news reports about him, which were the subject of reports due to allegations that he built an illegal pier on the land he purchased and hung "Private property, no trespassing" signs.

Stating that the previous owner of the house had obtained the building registration certificates, Gökbakar had removed the pier and the 'Private property, no trespassing' sign he had hung on the beach.
