Deniz Akkaya, whose daughter is under state protection: 'So she learns her lesson...'

Former model Deniz Akkaya caused a stir after writing about an argument she had with her 16-year-old daughter, Ayşe, on Twitter. Akkaya, who claimed that Ayşe attacked her, locked her on the balcony, and called the police to the house, saw her daughter placed in a state-run children's home. Akkaya has now made a new statement regarding the matter.

Deniz Akkaya wrote on her Twitter account yesterday: "I seized the phone that my daughter, whom I have raised alone for 16 years, was persistently hiding. When I found out about her plans to go abroad without my knowledge and more, I confiscated her phone. Not content with physically attacking me, she locked me on the balcony for 1.5 hours. I was rescued after calling 112 three times. I will not allow this state of mind, which also resisted the police and committed character assassination by claiming 'She beat me,' to hide behind adolescence."

Following criticism from her followers, Deniz Akkaya posted a series of videos and continued her complaints about her daughter.

'SO SHE LEARNS HER LESSON'

Later, teams from the Ministry of Family and Social Services went to Akkaya's home and took action regarding her daughter. 16-year-old Ayşe was sent to a state-run facility.
