Deniz Akkaya wrote on her Twitter account yesterday: "I seized the phone that my daughter, whom I have raised alone for 16 years, was persistently hiding. When I found out about her plans to go abroad without my knowledge and more, I confiscated her phone. Not content with physically attacking me, she locked me on the balcony for 1.5 hours. I was rescued after calling 112 three times. I will not allow this state of mind, which also resisted the police and committed character assassination by claiming 'She beat me,' to hide behind adolescence."

Following criticism from her followers, Deniz Akkaya posted a series of videos and continued her complaints about her daughter.

Later, teams from the Ministry of Family and Social Services went to Akkaya's home and took action regarding her daughter. 16-year-old Ayşe was sent to a state-run facility.
