Derya Uluğ falls ill after concert

Derya Uluğ performed for her fans at a hotel in Cyprus the other evening. Uluğ stated that she fell ill after the concert.

Derya Uluğ released a statement on her social media account, saying that she would not be able to perform her next show:

"Unfortunately, my health deteriorated after my last concert. Despite receiving all necessary treatments at the hospital, I regret to inform you that I will not be able to perform my Merit Crystal Cove concert. This is the first time I have experienced something like this. I apologize to the guests. We will make up for it on another date."

WHO IS DERYA ULUĞ?

Derya Uluğ (born February 21, 1986, İzmir) is a Turkish singer.

She was born and raised in İzmir. She was born into a family of Bulgarian and Albanian immigrant descent. Interested in music from a young age, Derya Uluğ participated in a singing competition when she was 8 years old.

After studying Music Education at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, she completed her master's degree at the Haliç University State Conservatory.

Derya Uluğ, who worked as a vocalist for Ebru Gündeş for 3 years, left Gündeş's team to release her own album after gaining experience. She released her first work in 2016 with the single titled Okyanus. The lyrics and music of the song belong to Asil Gök and Derya Uluğ, and the arrangement belongs to Burak Yeter.

Derya Uluğ won the "Best Breakthrough Soloist" award at the 43rd Pantene Golden Butterfly Awards held on November 13, 2016.
