The couple, who were under investigation for money laundering, tax evasion, and forming a criminal organization, were arrested and sent to prison.

Nilda Polat, the daughter of Dilan Polat, who has been held at the Marmara Closed Penal Institution since November 5, 2023, shared a video on her mother's social media account.

Addressing Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, Nilda Polat said, "Why are they still inside even though they are innocent? My brother is crying constantly. My mental health has also deteriorated. I can't take it anymore."

Nilda also had her brother speak during the video, and her younger brother said, "I miss them so much."
