It is known that Dilan Polat's Instagram account, which had 6.3 million followers across Turkey, was blocked by the Ankara Criminal Court of Peace upon the application of the Ministry of Family and Social Services on the grounds of "protecting public order" and "safeguarding public health." After the court decision was forwarded to the Information and Communication Technologies Authority, the Instagram account was rendered inaccessible in Turkey as a result of technical procedures.
