Disputes continue over Ferdi Tayfur's inheritance
Following the passing of arabesque music legend Ferdi Tayfur, disputes regarding the distribution of his inheritance continue. Tayfur's children, Tuğçe Tayfur and Timur Turanbayburt, have initiated legal action to contest the will.

The will of Ferdi Tayfur, who passed away on January 2, 2025, has sparked controversy as it did not leave any real estate to his children, Tuğçe Tayfur and Timur Turanbayburt. In the case, which held its first hearing on February 5, it was revealed that Tayfur had bequeathed his properties in Istanbul's Fatih district and Muğla's Marmaris to the Darüşşafaka Society, his four properties in Bolu's Mudurnu to the Turkish Armed Forces, and eight villas in Yalova to LÖSEV.
According to the will, while other properties were distributed among Ferdi Taha Tayfur, Ulaş Dınız, Derin Dınız, Zeynep Doğrul, Can Doğrul, Nefes Lila Gözalıcı, Şirin Gözalıcı, Ferdi Tayfur Turanbayburt, Buse Turanbayburt, and Emirhan Turanbayburt, the rights to his musical compositions and works were granted to Nilüfer Turanbayburt.
COURT PROCEEDINGS CONTINUE
The second hearing of the case was held yesterday in Marmaris. The heirs and their lawyers were present at the hearing. Additionally, lawyers representing the Turkish Armed Forces, the Darüşşafaka Society, and LÖSEV also attended. The presiding judge heard the objections and requests of the parties.
The heirs reiterated the statements they made during the first hearing.
While one of the three case files has been concluded, the hearing for the other file has been postponed to May 28.
