Educator and author Dursun Ali Taşçı has passed away
Dursun Ali Taşçı, a member of the Board of Directors of the Writers Union of Turkey (TYB) and an author, has passed away at the age of 69.

Making a statement regarding the author's death, TYB Istanbul Branch President Mahmut Bıyıklı said, "He was an important elder who dedicated his life to education and the cause of enlightenment, and who raised many young people throughout his life. While he was an educator, he was also an intellectual who penned numerous works."
Dursun Ali Taşçı's funeral will be held tomorrow at the Marmara Theology Mosque following the noon prayer, after which he will be laid to rest in his hometown of Pazar, Rize.
WHO IS DURSUN ALİ TAŞÇI?
Dursun Ali Taşçı was born in Rize in 1955. In 1989, he was appointed by the Ministry of National Education as a Turkish language teacher in France, where he remained for six years.
In addition to his teaching profession, he served for a time as a Provincial Director under the Ministry of Family and Social Policies.
His writing career began during his school years. His first article was published in a national newspaper column in 1974.
He wrote and continued to write articles on literature, art, education, and thought. He worked as a columnist for a national newspaper for eight years.
He continued his column writing on an internet site. He is the author of the books "Fıtratın Aşk Çağrısı" (The Love Call of Human Nature) and "Uygarlığa Aşkla Direnmek" (Resisting Civilization with Love).
Dursun Ali Taşçı passed away on April 25, 2024.
