Deniz Akkaya, who has frequently been in the headlines recently due to her statements and the events she has been involved in, was sentenced to 4 months and 27 days in prison in recent months for allegedly abusing her 15-year-old daughter. A. Önbilgin, who ended up at a police station due to a disagreement with her mother, was first placed under state protection and then handed over to her father, Efe Önbilgin. As the tensions between Deniz Akkaya and Efe Önbilgin continue, the pair has ended up in court once again.
Deniz Akkaya had announced in her social media posts that she had been attacked by her daughter A. Önbilgin and was rescued by the police. Following these events, an investigation was launched into Akkaya.
It was alleged that upon the request of Deniz Akkaya's ex-husband Efe Önbilgin, the famous model was referred to a Mental and Nervous Diseases Hospital and all her assets were seized.
Deniz Akkaya made a statement regarding this claim, denying the allegations and saying: "The person whose accounts have been seized due to unpaid child support for 16 years is the father, not me."
"Furthermore, I have been raising my daughter alone for 16 years, as everyone already knows. I repeat, the decision made by the court with official documents is clear."
"In short, the person who needs to be hospitalized in a mental and nervous diseases hospital for alcohol treatment is the father."
THEY ARE IN COURT AGAIN
According to the report by Özge Eğrikar from Hürriyet, Efe Önbilgin and Deniz Akkaya are in court again due to a child support issue. While the custody case is ongoing, Efe Önbilgin requested the cancellation of the 4,000 Turkish Lira monthly child support he pays to Deniz Akkaya for his daughter.
The lawsuit petition submitted to the Istanbul Family Court by lawyer Şeyda Yıldırım included the following statements: "Since A. Önbilgin continues to live with her father, we request the cancellation of the 4,000 Turkish Lira monthly child support paid to Deniz Akkaya."
It was also stated that the enforcement proceedings initiated by Akkaya based on the child support are ongoing. "We request that it be determined that my client is not in debt as of May 28, 2024, the date his daughter was handed over to him," it was stated.
