Elçin Sangu's testimony in the Ahbap Association investigation revealed
Actress Elçin Sangu's testimony to the prosecutor's office as part of the investigation into the Ahbap Association has been revealed. Sangu stated, "I am saddened that our good intentions were exploited because the aid we provided was used in this manner by Haluk Levent."

Elçin Sangu arrived at the Istanbul Courthouse around noon today to provide her testimony. In her statement, Sangu said, "I knew Haluk Levent through his identity as an artist. After the February 6 earthquakes, I went to the Ahbap Association, where he served on the board, because I wanted to take part in earthquake relief efforts.
At that time, many of my friends from the earthquake zone had been affected by the disaster.
Thinking about how I could help, I first went to the Metropolitan Municipality. Seeing that relief efforts were being carried out comprehensively there and that many people were involved, I wondered where else I could be of assistance.
"I AM SAD"
At that time, the Ahbap Association and Babala TV were heavily involved in relief activities. Because they were located at an address close to the Metropolitan Municipality, I went to the headquarters of the Ahbap Association. This was where I met Haluk Levent face-to-face for the first time. There were units divided into many tables regarding relief activities. I called the brands I was collaborating with at the time and asked if they could provide necessary supplies as products. At the point we have reached, I am saddened that our good intentions were exploited because the aid we provided was used in this manner by Haluk Levent," she said.
"TOOK PART IN THE EFFORTS ON A VOLUNTARY BASIS"
Sangu stated, "Many of our friends, including myself, took part in the efforts on a voluntary basis at that time. There was no direction or suggestion from Haluk Levent or anyone else for us. The fact that audits were being conducted by independent auditing firms at that time created a sense of trust in me. I believe that if new regulations are made regarding relief activities, it will prevent others from abusing people's good intentions in the future. Finally, what I would like to say is that I am very sad that people will lose their sense of helping others as a result of all these events," she said.
Elçin Sangu left the courthouse after her testimony to the prosecutor's office was completed.
