STATEMENT FROM THE ESKİŞEHİR GOVERNOR'S OFFICE
The Eskişehir Governor's Office included the following statements in its announcement regarding the ban on its official website:
"In order to ensure that our citizens can fully and safely exercise their rights and freedoms arising from international conventions on fundamental rights and freedoms, the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey, and the laws, and to ensure a peaceful environment, public order, and public safety in our province, to prevent the commission of crimes, and to protect fundamental rights and freedoms, the rights and freedoms of others, and general public order; in accordance with the provisions of Article 11, paragraphs (a) and (c) of the Provincial Administration Law No. 5442, and Articles 17 and 19 of the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations No. 2911, the festival, which was learned to be held on October 14-15, 2023, at the business located within the Botanical Park in the Orhangazi Neighborhood of the Odunpazarı district of our province (provided that the rights regarding capacity and operating hours specified in the business's license are reserved), has been banned for a period of (2) days from 00:01 on October 14, 2023, to 24:00 on October 15, 2023, by the decision of the Eskişehir Governor's Office dated 11.10.2023 and numbered 317. Respectfully announced to the public."
