Famous billionaire's inheritance feud: Ex-wife and new wife clash

An 80 million euro (3 billion TL) property dispute between Russian businessman Arbi Alaudinov (64), a shareholder of the world-famous Crowne Plaza Hotel's branch in Antalya's Konyaaltı district, and his wife, who is in the process of divorce, and their son has been taken to court.

According to a report by Yusuf Özdemir from Sabah newspaper, the property and business were owned by Kaf Otelcilik Turizm ve Dış Ticaret A.Ş. Arbi Alaudinov, who built the 80 million euro hotel in 2005, gave 5 percent of the company to his wife, Alla Alaudinov, and their son, Akhmed Alaudinov (33), who are currently in the process of divorce. However, it is alleged that his wife and son attempted to seize the entire company.

Claiming that his shares were attempted to be taken from him through a fake general assembly decision and that he was deported through a trap involving accusations of insult and threats, businessman Arbi Alaudinov said, "I own 95 percent of the shares of this hotel, which I built in 2005, along with Medina Kaykharov (42), whom I am currently with. I gave 5 percent of the hotel to Alla and my son Akhmed. I also made my son the chairman of the board of directors so that he would not feel like a foreigner. When the company's books are examined, it will be seen that I have not made any other share transfers."

His wife, Alla, stated in a petition submitted through her lawyer, "Our divorce case with Arbi is ongoing. He gave 45 percent of the company's shares to Medina Kaykharova free of charge. We opposed this sale. We are requesting that our son Akhmed be appointed as guardian."
