Famous Pirates of the Caribbean actor Tamayo Perry passes away
Professional surfer Tamayo Perry, who appeared in the Pirates of the Caribbean film, has lost his life in a shark attack off the coast of Oahu. Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi described Perry's death as a tragic loss.

Tamayo Perry, who appeared in the film "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," was attacked by a shark while surfing off the coast of Oahu Island in the Hawaiian archipelago yesterday.
The 49-year-old Perry, who was also a lifeguard and surfing instructor, was found dead at Malaekahana Beach on the North Shore of Oahu. It was reported that the body, discovered by local surfers, was missing an arm and a leg.
In a statement issued by the Honolulu Emergency Services Department, it was emphasized that the first emergency call was received around 1:00 PM on Sunday and that Tamayo Perry's body was brought to shore by jet ski.

According to a report by NTV, Acting Honolulu Ocean Safety Chief Kurt Lager stated that Mr. Perry was "a lifeguard loved by all" and added:
"He is well known on the North Shore. He is a professional surfer known worldwide. Tamayo’s personality was infectious, and as much as people loved him, he loved everyone else more."
Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi described Perry's death as a tragic loss. Blangiardi said, "Tamayo was a legendary waterman and highly respected."
