The famous presenter, whose full name was Jonathan James Irwin, married Jessica Holmes in 2016.

Irwin, who had three sons with his wife, announced in 2022 that he had been diagnosed with lung cancer in 2020.

'HE EVEN SURPRISED HIS DOCTORS'

Going through difficult times, Jonnie Irwin had said, "I know I won't be able to beat cancer. People say, 'Don't worry, you'll beat it.' But no, mate, I probably won't. Initially, I took a miracle drug. They hoped it would keep the disease at bay a little longer. But the cancer came back so aggressively that it even surprised his doctors."

'HE TOUCHED MANY LIVES WITH HIS WARMTH'

The sad news came from 50-year-old Irwin, who had been battling lung cancer for about four years and shared every moment of his struggle on his social media accounts. Jessica Holmes announced the news of her husband's death on her social media account:

"It is with great sadness that we share the news of Jonnie's passing. Jonnie, who had a truly extraordinary spirit, fought against cancer with unwavering strength and courage. He touched many lives with his kindness, warmth, and spirit.

As we remember the beautiful moments we shared with Jonnie, let us celebrate a life well-lived and a legacy that will be etched in our hearts forever.

He may be gone, but his love, laughter, and memories will live on. Rest in peace, dear Jonnie. You will be greatly missed but never forgotten."
