Cem Yılmaz, who was hospitalized after falling ill at his home in the Ayvacık district of Çanakkale, made a statement on his social media account following his heart attack and the subsequent medical intervention. The famous comedian stated that his health is good and thanked those who called him and sent their well wishes.

In his post, Yılmaz explained that he felt exhausted after completing the filming of the movie GORA 4, and later experienced severe pain in his chest and back. The artist stated that although he thought about going home to rest, seeking medical attention at the hospital was critical.

“Thank you, friends, I am fine. Yesterday, a bad pain struck my chest and back; if I had gone home and laid down, I would still be lying there... Anyway, I had a bad day, to say the least. The doctors told me to stay away from stress, and I laughed.”

After his illness, Yılmaz was first taken to Ayvacık State Hospital and was later transferred to Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ) Hospital. It was reported that Yılmaz underwent an angioplasty due to a blockage in the main artery feeding the front wall of his heart, and a balloon and stent were applied.

According to the statement by Prof. Dr. Ercan Akşit, a faculty member of the Department of Cardiology who performed the operation, the procedure was completed in approximately 40 minutes by entering through the wrist. The hospital administration and the medical team reported that Yılmaz is conscious, in high spirits, and in good general health.

It was reported that after a 24-hour observation period in intensive care, Cem Yılmaz is expected to be moved to a regular ward and discharged within a few days.
