Dilan Polat and her husband Engin Polat, who were detained as part of an operation conducted in 6 provinces centered in Istanbul on May 11, 2023, were arrested on allegations of "money laundering" involving 250 million TL and sent to the Marmara High-Security Closed Prison.
Subsequently, Engin Polat was transferred to the Çorlu High-Security Closed Penal Institution.

A post made last night on the Instagram social media account of Engin Polat, who is still imprisoned in Çorlu, drew attention.
In Polat's post, it was seen that a photo of a white mask in a garden was shared. Polat's sister also quoted the post and added the note, "Ahhh, I miss you so much, my brother."
Speaking to 10 Haber about the subject, Engin Polat's lawyer Hüseyin Kaya stated that he was unaware of the post.
Lawyer Kaya indicated that he would ask about the post in question when he visits his client in prison.
