First statement from Settar Tanrıöğen after months: 'I will return to sets'

Settar Tanrıöğen, who went to the hospital on January 26 complaining of confusion and was diagnosed with a brain hemorrhage after examinations, had undergone surgery 3 times during a 1.5-month period.

The veteran actor was spotted in Nişantaşı the other day. The famous name answered questions from journalists briefly and provided information about his health status.

It was observed that Tanrıöğen, who had to leave the series in which he played the lead role due to his illness, had lost weight.

According to the news in Milliyet, the famous actor responded to the "Get well soon" wishes of the press members by saying "Thank you."

'I WILL DO MY JOB'

The famous actor was recently caught on camera in Nişantaşı once again. The actor, who continues his treatment process to regain his former health, answered questions briefly as he left the clinic where he receives routine physical therapy:

"I came for massage and physical therapy. Everyone is calling, thank you. Of course, I will start on sets; I will do my job. There is no such ban imposed by the doctors; I just need to recover a little."

WHO IS SETTAR TANRIÖĞEN?

Settar Tanrıöğen was born on October 22, 1960, in the Merkezefendi district of Denizli.

A graduate of Hacettepe University's Department of Archaeology and Art History, Settar Tanrıöğen became known for the character Saldıray Abi, which he played in the 90s in the show Bir Demet Tiyatro, which also featured Yılmaz Erdoğan, Demet Akbağ, Erdal Tosun, Zerrin Sümer, Serhat Özcan, and Erdoğan Dikmen.

In 2009, Settar Tanrıöğen starred in the film Vavien alongside Binnur Kaya, Engin Günaydın, Ercan Kesal, İlker Aksum, and Serra Yılmaz, and won the Best Supporting Actor award at the SİYAD Turkish Cinema Awards for his role as Cemal.

In 2010, Settar Tanrıöğen starred in the film Gölgeler ve Suretler, written and directed by Derviş Zaim, which focused on the issues between Greek and Turkish Cypriots, alongside Buğra Gülsoy, Hazar Ergüçlü, and Osman Alkaş, and won the Best Supporting Actor award at the 2011 Ankara Film Festival for his role as Cevdet.

In 2015, Settar Tanrıöğen played the role of Cengiz in the film Saklı, written and directed by Selim Evci, alongside İlhan Şeşen, Türkü Turan, Pelin Akil, Şehnaz Bölen, and Ümit Çırak.

In 2015, he played the lead role in the comedy film Hayalet Dayı, directed by Ali Yorgancıoğlu.

Settar Tanrıöğen played the character Salih Çelik in the series Baba Candır between 2015 and 2017. He was most recently portraying the character Abdullah in the series Kızılcık Şerbeti.
