Photographer Mesut Adlin was detained following the allegations he made against Manifest founder Tolga Akış and Akış's wife, Gizem Kaya. It was reported that Adlin was released after completing his statement procedures at the police station.

The process became public with the statement made by Tolga Akış's lawyer, Kaya Pulat. Pulat had announced that a criminal complaint was filed with the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office following Adlin's statements on August 20 and his broadcast on the night of August 21.

Lawyer Pulat stated that the application was made on the grounds of "acts constituting threats and blackmail." Following this development, Adlin, who was taken into custody, was released after his statement was taken.

In a video lasting approximately 15 minutes that he published on YouTube, Adlin had raised various allegations regarding Manifest's working order, group members' contracts, revenue sharing, and their private lives. In the video, he claimed that 10-year contracts were signed with group members, that all Spotify and YouTube revenues were left to Tolga Akış, and that members received a 10 percent share of concert revenues.

The photographer also alleged that there was interference in the private lives of Manifest members Sueda Uluca and Hilal Yelekçi. The video in question had reached approximately 600 thousand views before it was removed by YouTube on the grounds that it violated its Terms of Service.

Mesut Adlin and Manifest parted ways about a year ago. At that time, allegations regarding Adlin had surfaced on social media based on certain messages, and Manifest had announced that it had canceled planned shoots. Adlin, on the other hand, denied the allegations against him, arguing that the conversations were shared incompletely.
