Footage of belly dancer Didem Kınalı being followed by muggers emerges
Famous belly dancer Didem Kınalı had her mobile phone, worth 70 thousand liras, snatched by 3 suspects while she was out walking her dog in the Cihangir neighborhood of Istanbul's Beyoğlu district. The incident occurred around 9:30 PM the previous evening in the Cihangir neighborhood of Istanbul's Beyoğlu district. Famous belly dancer Didem Kınalı (37) was walking on the street while taking her dog out.
THEY STOLE HER PHONE WORTH 70 THOUSAND LIRAS
At that moment, 2 hooded individuals began following Kınalı. After following her for a while, the suspects snatched the mobile phone in her hand, worth 70 thousand liras, just as she was about to enter her home.
Following the incident, Didem Kınalı went to the police station to file a complaint. Launching an investigation after the complaint, police from the Beyoğlu Public Security Bureau examined security camera footage from the surrounding area based on the woman's statement.
As a result of the work, the suspects' physical descriptions and then their identities were determined. Examining security cameras street by street, the police teams apprehended the individuals as they were trying to flee on Türkgücü Street.
'I WILL BRING THE PHONE BACK FOR MONEY'
While the muggers were fleeing after the incident, the other suspect, who was said to be acting as a lookout, approached Kınalı and said, "I will bring the phone back to you in exchange for money."
A shocked Didem Kınalı headed straight to the police station. An investigation was launched upon Kınalı's complaint. Within the scope of the investigation, security camera footage of the incident was obtained. The footage shows the suspects following Didem Kınalı.
SUSPECTS APPREHENDED
Following the efforts, the police took Atilla A., who has 3 prior criminal records, Umut İ., who has 1 record, and Maşallah A., who has 1 record, into custody.
The 3 individuals, whose statements were taken at the police station and against whom legal proceedings were initiated for "mugging," were referred to the courthouse.
Upon learning that the individuals had been caught, Didem Kınalı thanked the police teams via her social media account.
