Former national footballer Mevlüt Erdinç has alleged that he has not heard from his wife, Taleb Erding, for 5 months and that she has been hiding their children from him.

In a statement on his social media account, Erdinç said, "I haven't heard from my wife Taleb Erding for 5 months. I don't know where they are; she won't let me see my children. I want everyone to know about this situation now because blackmailing me to get money is an inhumane act."

Stating that he reached out to his wife via email, Erdinç continued his words as follows:

"I told her I would deposit 1 million euros into her account. Following this, my son called me via video chat on Saturday. My wife, whom I loved very much until today, who married me at the beginning of my career and decided to leave me the day after I ended my career. Money has never been something I valued highly.

'MONEY DESTROYS ALL FAMILIES'

My children and their mother have never known hardship and they never will, because those are my values. I will continue to fulfill my responsibilities. Money is unimportant to me. My wife's family called me and said the children were not mine. Because I was constantly out of town, I requested a DNA test. They refused and won't let me see my children. How can you be this cruel? Unfortunately, money destroys all families."

Mevlüt Erdinç, who wore the jerseys of teams such as Paris Saint-Germain, Sochaux, Rennes, and Saint-Etienne during his football career, played for teams such as Başakşehir, Antalyaspor, Fenerbahçe, Fatih Karagümrük, Kocaelispor, and Ümraniyespor in Turkey.

Erdinç, who played 35 times for the national team, ended his active football career last year.
