A funeral service for Manuel Çıtak will be held on Wednesday, October 11, at 14:00 at the Feriköy Surp Vartanants Church.
WHO IS MANUEL ÇITAK?
Born in Malatya in 1962, Manuel Çıtak completed his education at Saint Michel High School in Istanbul and the Graphic Design Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Çıtak began taking photographs during his travels across Turkey while he was a university student, focusing primarily on people and portraiture.
Working independently of press organizations, Çıtak produced photo essays, and his works were published in various magazines, newspapers, and books both domestically and internationally.
Çıtak produced documentary photography projects such as the "Miners" panoramas in 1994 and "Kilyos" in 1996. Married to author Şebnem İşigüzel, Çıtak was a father of two.
