Funeral prayer held for Metin Arolat in Istanbul: Gülşen could not hold back her tears

A funeral prayer was held in Istanbul for 52-year-old Metin Arolat, who fell ill while performing at a hotel in Kadıköy and passed away at the hospital where he was taken. Arolat's funeral will be laid to rest in İzmir tomorrow.

The funeral prayer for Metin Arolat, who lost his life due to a heart attack, was held at the Teşvikiye Mosque in Istanbul.

Many famous names were at the funeral to pay their final respects to Metin Arolat, who passed away at the age of 52. His sister, Fatoş Alkan, did not leave her brother's coffin for a moment. Arolat's sister, Fatoş Alkan, accepted the condolences.

The ceremony was attended by Arolat's artist friends Gülben Ergen, Gülşen, Ozan Orhon, Yeliz, Demet Sağıroğlu, producer İzzet Öz, the family's relatives, and citizens.

Gülşen and Gülben Ergen had a difficult time at the funeral. The duo, unable to hold back their tears, performed their final duties for their close friend.

Speaking to members of the press at the funeral, actor Barış Kılıç stated that Arolat was a very successful commercial director and musician, saying, "Above all, he was a very kind-hearted person. I am very sad. He left us at a very early age. May God have mercy on him."

Actress Nilgün Belgün also said, "He was very young, he was a very good person. He was a friend to all of us; it is not easy to be everyone's friend. He loved us all very much. He was a loving, kind-hearted man. We lost him at a very young age. I am in shock because it was sudden. Some people want to die on stage, and that was his fate."

Television programmer Esra Erol also expressed that she was very sad, stating, "He lost his life at a very early age. He had many more commercials to shoot, many more songs to sing. He died too soon, we are very sad."

TO BE LAID TO REST IN İZMİR

Metin Arolat will be buried in the family cemetery in İzmir on Monday, September 23.

Born in İzmir in 1972, Arolat entered the music market in 1995 with his first album titled "Ayrılık Olmaz" after graduating from the Department of Business Administration at Dokuz Eylül University's Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.

Arolat pursued both his directing and singing careers simultaneously. He produced albums and singles such as "Ayrılık Olmaz," "Yine Bir Başıma," "Kabul Et," "Lütfen Yaz Gelsin," "Çok Daha Ötesi," and "Karavan."
