In a statement on his social media account, Onur Akay said, “It is true that Banu Alkan was hospitalized, but the claims that she suffered a brain hemorrhage are baseless.” Stating that he spoke with Alkan on the phone, Akay used the following expressions:

“Banu's health is currently good, thank God. Her doctors had difficulty controlling her blood pressure and sugar levels, but she has overcome the danger with the necessary interventions.”

Onur Akay also shared details about the famous artist's illness. Stating that Alkan had a difficult time due to high blood pressure and diabetes, Akay noted that doctors had difficulty balancing her blood pressure.
