Ayşe Barım, founder and partner of the ID Communications agency, which represents many celebrities in Turkey, has been arrested on charges of "aiding in the attempt to overthrow the Government of the Republic of Turkey" as part of an investigation into her alleged role as one of the planners of the Gezi Park protests.

Following the decision by the Criminal Court of Peace, Ayşe Barım was sent to Silivri Prison. After the arrest, several celebrities expressed their support for Barım through posts on their social media accounts.
