Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021, Şimal had regained her health following a successful treatment process. However, after a tumor was detected in her brain during routine check-ups, she underwent a difficult eight-hour surgery on January 17.

Sharing information about her health status with her followers on social media after the surgery, Şimal had stated that her MRI results came back clear and that her treatment was progressing positively.
