Critical warning from AKOM: Storm and heavy rainfall expected in Istanbul

AKOM has issued a warning to Istanbul residents for this evening. It was stated that heavy rainfall and storms are expected across Istanbul and the Marmara Region starting from 18:00, with a warning that temperatures will drop by 7-9 degrees.
The following information was provided in the statement made by AKOM:
"Accordingly, it is estimated that the wind will strengthen across the Marmara Region, especially in Istanbul, starting from this evening (18:00), blowing intermittently as a strong wind and occasionally as a storm (50-61 km/h) with short-term gusts, accompanied by heavy rainfall across the province.
The precipitation is expected to be effective in the form of thunderstorms and local heavy rainfall (20-50 kg/m2), and air temperatures, which are currently hovering around 16-19 degrees, are expected to drop by 7-9 degrees, falling to around 9-10 degrees.
The rainfall is expected to continue until the morning hours (09:00) of Wednesday (tomorrow).
It is important to be prepared and take precautions against any negative situations that may arise due to weather conditions"
