Edip Akbayram, one of the legendary names of Turkish music, suffered a serious accident in recent weeks after falling out of bed.
The artist was taken to the University of Health Sciences Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital on January 9 due to suspected internal bleeding and has been under treatment since.
The artist underwent surgery twice, on January 10 and January 13.
Regarding Akbayram's health status, who has been kept in intensive care since that day, his wife made a statement last month, saying, "He is still in intensive care; his doctors say he is doing well. Hopefully, he will get better."

Sharing a post on her social media account regarding her father's health, Türkü Akbayram drew attention with her emotional words. Stating that her father's absence has affected her deeply, Türkü Akbayram used the following expressions:
"I cannot pass by the places where we used to sit every day. I am devastated because I passed by you in a rush, just waving without hugging you even though I saw you; because you cannot call me when it snows to say 'Look out the window, my love'; because you cannot call me every day to ask 'Is my little love coming today?'; because you cannot invite me over by saying 'Come for coffee'; because you cannot stroke my hair with the most compassionate hands in the world; and because I cannot see that warm smile of yours. I miss you so much, Dad. We are all waiting for you. We are waiting with longing, we are waiting with hope. I am waiting."

Born in Gaziantep in 1950, Edip Akbayram began his music career in the 1970s. He became one of the most important representatives of Anatolian pop music by founding the Dostlar Orchestra in 1974.
The artist, who married Ayten Akbayram in 1979, has two children named Türkü Akbayram and Ozan Akbayram. Over the years, Akbayram, who has produced unforgettable works such as "Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz," "Deniz Üstü Köpürür," "Aldırma Gönül," "Adiloş Bebe," and "Kahpe Felek," is considered one of Turkey's most powerful voices.
