The Ministry of Health of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) announced that the famous artist Volkan Konak fell ill during his concert in İskele and was taken to the hospital, where he passed away despite all interventions.
The first intervention for Konak was performed by medical personnel and citizens attending the concert. 112 emergency teams arriving at the scene transferred the artist to Gazimağusa State Hospital.
Konak, who was intubated and provided with intensive care support at the hospital, could not be saved despite all efforts. The news of the artist's passing caused deep sorrow among the art community and his fans.
FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS ANNOUNCED
It was stated that Konak's body will be sent to Turkey following autopsy procedures and will be laid to rest next to his father's grave in the Maçka district of Trabzon.
The Consulate General of Turkey in Gazimağusa is closely following the funeral process. It has been learned that a funeral ceremony for Volkan Konak will be held on Wednesday at the family cemetery in Maçka, Trabzon.
