Turgut Karataş, 61, known as Ankaralı Turgut, who had been intubated for a month due to lung cancer, passed away on December 15.
The folk singer had disowned four of his five children, maintaining contact only with Eylem Boran.
"WE ARE SUPPORTING SONS-IN-LAW WITH FATHER'S MONEY"
Ankaralı Turgut had claimed that his children Haydar, Özlem, Hasret, and Ersoy wanted the money collected for his treatment, stating, "They have been living off my money for 27 years; have they ever earned any money themselves? We are supporting sons-in-law with father's money! Haydar, Özlem, Hasret, they are all the same... Ersoy is the biggest ingrate anyway! They have formed a gang. Have they ever earned or spent a single penny of halal money? They are threatening me to take the aid money collected for me. Let everyone know that they are liars and slanderers," he had said.
Eylem Boran had alleged that Ankaralı Turgut told her, "Before I die, do not let my children hold my coffin, do not let my children enter the grave, I will not forgive them."
Ankaralı Turgut has now made headlines due to a disagreement between his children over the inscription on his tombstone.
Eylem Boran had the words "My dear father" inscribed on her father's tombstone.
Her sister Özlem Sülü objected to this.
"LET HIM REST IN PEACE IN HIS GRAVE"
Sülü went to the cemetery and changed the inscription to "Our dear father" and made the following statement: "He is not just your father; he has five children. As long as you have 'My father' inscribed, I will have 'Our father' inscribed. Just let my father rest in peace in his grave."
